Inspect the fiberglass-backed circuit board for green corrosion around the dual-filament bulb sockets and stress cracks near the mounting screw bosses—common failures after three decades of vibration. The ground trace near the center pin often fractures; reflow solder repairs can resurrect a flaky board. When installing, apply dielectric grease to prevent moisture ingress that Nissan's 1990s sealant inevitably fails to block.
