Quick reference
Verify 1-pin vs 2-pin bulb socket compatibility between early (1990-1991) and late (1992-1996) production
JDM Fairlady Z (Z32) used clear side markers with different OEM numbers—amber color required for USDM compliance
Part number 26165-30P01 is the left side equivalent—do not confuse left and right in inventory
Context
The right side marker light on the 1991 Nissan 300ZX (Z32) mounts to the front fender just behind the headlight assembly. When junkyard hunting, look for part number 26160-30P01 or the earlier 26160-30P00 cast into the housing—this amber lamp fits all 1990-1996 Z32 models regardless of twin-turbo or naturally-aspirated configuration. Access requires removing the inner fender liner or reaching through the engine bay to release the twist-lock bulb socket and single mounting screw. Inspect for cracked lenses (common from rock strikes) and check that the plastic mounting tab isn’t snapped—a frequent failure point on 30-year-old Z32s. If you find a Stanley Electric casting marked 045-2134, that’s your confirmation. Always test the bulb socket for corrosion before installation, as the VG30DETT engine bay heat tends to degrade the terminals.
