For the 2011 BMW 528i (F10 generation), the right fog light assembly (OEM 63177216818, superseded to 63177248912) is a direct interchange across all 2010-2013 pre-LCI 5-Series models regardless of engine variant (N52, N55, N63). When pulling from junkyards, target base and Luxury Line trims; M-Sport bumpers used different ducting without standalone fog lamps. Inspection is critical: check the Hella casting number 1NL 010 456-021 stamped on the lens flange, then examine for moisture intrusion at the vent membrane and cracked mounting feet common from curb impacts. Installation requires either wheel arch liner removal or lower belly pan access—no full bumper detachment needed if using the service position screws. Always verify the 2-pin connector matches your harness; early production cars without cornering lights use a simpler plug than later-optioned vehicles.
