The right-side garnish molding E7ZZ-1503596-A and its later supersession F1ZZ-1503596-A feature the correct angle to mate with the post-restyle dashboard and windshield frame. Always inspect the three critical mounting points: the sun visor screw boss (frequently stripped), the fragile upper clip near the headliner, and the lower concealed fastener behind the dash pad—Fox-platform ABS plastic becomes exceptionally brittle after three decades. Removal requires a T20 Torx driver for the sun visor pivot and gentle prying to release the Christmas-tree fasteners without snapping the tabs. Convertibles utilized slightly different upper retainers to accommodate the folding top frame, so verify the windshield header curve.
