When junkyard hunting, prioritize part numbers 76812-30P01 (1990-1993) or 76812-40P01 (1994-1996), as the 1994 interior facelift changed the mounting geometry despite similar outward appearance. Inspect for cracks at the upper clip bosses—common stress fractures from removal—and verify the Bose tweeter connector isn't clipped off if equipped. Installation requires peeling the door rubber seal and releasing the headliner retention clip; the piece slides under the windshield molding and overlaps the instrument panel.
