Context
When sourcing passenger seat tracks for your 2011 BMW 528i F10 sedan, target the 2010-2016 F10 generation including the 535i and 550i variants. The right-side track assembly typically carries part number 52107226170 (superseding 52107224672), while the left uses 52107226169. In junkyards, verify the seat type—standard power seats use different rails than manual or Sport Package seats with larger bolsters. Before removal, check for smooth fore-aft travel and listen for grinding from the integrated transmission gears. Installation requires disconnecting the battery to avoid airbag faults when unplugging the seat occupancy mat. Torque the four mounting bolts to 50 Nm in a diagonal pattern. Common failures include stripped plastic drive gears and corroded mounting feet from water ingress.
