The Z32-generation Nissan 300ZX rear wiper assembly was optional equipment, making complete units rare in salvage yards. When hunting, target 1990-1996 coupes with the glass hatch; verify the three mounting studs are present on the glass before dismantling. The critical OEM numbers are motor 28710-60P00 and arm 28780-60P00, though the DENSO casting number (159100-series) on the motor housing is more reliable for cross-referencing. Test operation before removal—internal gear stripping is common after seal failure. Inspect the rubber grommet 28824-60P00; if cracked, water intrusion will destroy the replacement motor within months. Installation requires supporting the hatch at 45 degrees to access the interior trim. Note that Twin Turbo and Naturally Aspirated models share identical mounting brackets and wiring, though early 1990 production may have brown connectors versus later black ones.
