Physical inspection should focus on the three plastic pivot bushings—common failure points where the linkage develops slop before snapping the aluminum transmission arms. Junkyard pulls require removing the entire cowl vent grille (six clips plus wiper arm nuts) to extract the assembly; avoid units with seized pivots or cracked bellcrank mounts. Installation demands precise wiper arm alignment to prevent parking position errors. Note that DENSO casting marks (159100-series) often outlast Nissan's printed labels for verification.
