The Z32 Nissan 300ZX outer belt moulding is a critical weatherstrip that commonly fails after three decades; source Nissan part 80830-30P01 (superseding 80830-30P00) for the front right position on 1990–1996 USDM coupes. This component interchanges across all VG30DE and VG30DETT engine variants but is specific to the 2-seater body style—2+2 models utilize longer door seals that are not compatible. When pulling from salvage yards, inspect the rubber for UV cracking, torn window-wiping felt, and corrosion on the aluminum backing strip, as deterioration allows water intrusion into the door shell. Installation requires lowering the window completely, removing the door mirror to release the moulding's forward retaining tab, and carefully extracting multiple hidden screws along the door frame; lubricate the glass channel with soapy water to prevent binding the new seal during reassembly.
