Rear Left ABS/Wheel Speed Sensor - 2011 528i

The 2011 BMW 528i (F10 platform) employs a passive hall-effect rear wheel speed sensor monitoring the N52B30's driven axle. The factory component is BMW part number 34 52 6 793 287 for the left rear, interchangeable across 2010-2016 F10 sedans, F11 Touring wagons, and 2011-2018 F12/F13 6-Series coupes. An equivalent Bosch unit (0 986 594 007) provides aftermarket coverage. When pulling from salvage yards, inspect the harness carefully at the trailing arm grommet, as this is the primary failure point where internal conductors fracture from suspension travel flex. Remove the 5mm Allen retaining bolt and twist the sensor gently to break the O-ring seal before extraction. The connector resides above the fuel tank area; release the locking tab before feeding the old harness out. No programming is required after installation, but clear stored ABS fault codes and verify clean sensor tip engagement with the reluctor ring.
