Quick reference
Verify left vs right mounting bracket orientation; 46210-40P01 is left side, 46211-40P01 is right side
1994+ chassis revisions retained identical hose specifications but verify ABS vs non-ABS compatibility at hard line connection
JDM models may have different hard line connection geometry; verify banjo bolt thread pitch (M10x1.0 typical)
Context
When sourcing a rear right brake flex hose for your twin-turbo Z32, look for Nissan part number 46211-40P01, which supersedes the early 46211-30P00 used on 1990-1991 production. This hose fits all 1990-1996 USDM 300ZX models regardless of VG30DE (NA) or VG30DETT (TT) engine codes, though the front hoses differ by brake caliper type. JDM Fairlady Z variants from 1989-2000 interchange with US hoses. Inspect the rubber for weather-checking cracks, ballooning under pressure, or chafing where the hose passes through the subframe retaining bracket. During installation, always use flare-nut wrenches (14mm and 17mm) to avoid rounding the hard line fittings, and replace the copper sealing washers at the caliper banjo bolt. Torque the banjo bolt to 25 Nm and ensure the hose isn't twisted when mounted—routing errors cause premature failure and potential brake drag.
