Junkyard scouting should target 2010-2016 F10 5-Series sedans regardless of engine code—N52B30, N55, or N63 models share this panel. Inspect jack point reinforcements for salt-belt rot, as trapped moisture collects at the inner/outer sill seam. Remove by drilling factory spot welds (8mm cobalt bit) at the A-pillar base, B-pillar lower, and rear wheel housing flange. Transfer the side skirt mounting studs if intact; these press-fit clips are often damaged during removal. When installing, use weld-through primer on all mating surfaces and replicate factory seam sealer beads at the door sill flange to prevent recurrence.
